Bespoke app development / UK

From “we need a thing” to a thing people can rely on.

Design and development for bespoke web applications, internal tools and integrations — including projects that started with AI and now need an experienced pair of hands.

One senior engineer from discovery through delivery. UK-based, working remotely with clients internationally.

01 / Ways to work

Start from scratch, or start from wherever the AI left you.

Some clients have a problem and a rough idea. Others already have a surprisingly convincing prototype and a rapidly growing list of things they are afraid to touch. Both are perfectly reasonable places to begin.

New bespoke application

Discovery, architecture and hands-on development for a focused web app, customer portal, internal tool or integration.

Finish an AI-built app

Review what has been generated, keep the useful parts and engineer the missing security, reliability, tests and deployment.

Join an existing team

Senior engineering help for a difficult feature, architecture decision, integration or release that needs extra momentum.

Rescue a stalled build

Find out why progress has slowed, stabilise the foundations and agree a realistic route to something shippable.

02 / What gets built

Useful software, without inventing complexity for sport.

The best solution might be a polished customer-facing app. It might be a small internal tool that saves a team several hours every week. The shape follows the job.

Siege21 is a strong fit for web applications, APIs, workflow tools, data and search products, integrations and modernisation work. If the project needs a large multi-discipline delivery team or expertise outside that range, we will say so early.

03 / Delivery

Small steps, visible progress and fewer dramatic reveals.

You should be able to see what is being built, understand the decisions and change course before an assumption turns into an expensive feature.

01

Discover

Agree the user problem, constraints and smallest useful outcome.

02

Design

Map the experience, data and architecture before committing to the expensive bits.

03

Build

Deliver in working increments, with testing and production concerns included.

04

Release

Deploy, verify, document and make sure somebody knows how to operate it.

04 / Questions

App development FAQs.

Do you only build applications that use AI?

No. AI can be part of the product or part of the development workflow, but it does not have to be either. The aim is useful, maintainable software — not AI for the sake of putting it in a pitch deck.

Can you take over an existing AI-generated codebase?

Usually, yes. The first step is a focused review to understand what is worth keeping, what needs changing and whether continuing is genuinely better than rebuilding parts of it.

What technology do you work with?

The strongest fit is web applications, C#/.NET, TypeScript and JavaScript, APIs, SQL, search, Docker and Kubernetes. The right stack is chosen for the job and confirmed before work starts.

Can you work with our existing developers?

Yes. Siege21 can own a defined piece of delivery, work alongside an internal team or provide senior technical guidance while your developers implement the work.

Do you provide ongoing support?

Support and improvement work can be agreed after release. The goal is never to make the application dependent on one consultant, so handover and operational clarity are part of the build.

An idea or a half-built app will do

Let’s work out what it needs to become real.

Send a short description of the problem, what already exists and where you would like to get to. No technical specification required.
