Antony Doyle
Software engineer, systems thinker and practical sceptic. Particularly when a demo looks suspiciously effortless.
Antony has more than 18 years of experience building and improving software. His work spans frontend engineering and accessibility, backend services, APIs, data-intensive systems, search and distributed applications.
That breadth matters when reviewing AI-generated software. A codebase carries decisions about users, data, infrastructure, cost, failure and future change, not just the code itself.

AI changed how quickly software can be made but it did not remove engineering responsibility.
Rapid prototyping is genuinely useful. It also compresses months of technical decisions into days, often without anyone noticing that those decisions have been made.
Not scanner-only
Automated tools find patterns. Engineering judgement determines which findings matter, what caused them and what to do next.
Not consultancy theatre
